Its polished, lathe-turned black resin body is finished with stainless steel trim and palladium accents, echoing the lines of Heinrich Helm’s 1925 designs. Inside, the Piston Plus mechanism uses the barrel itself as the ink reservoir, holding 1.5 mL of bottled ink, and a 360-degree window lets you see how much is left at a glance. The JoWo stainless steel nib in a fine width gives clean, controlled lines for everyday notes and longer writing sessions, and the screw-on cap closes the pen securely. With a 142 mm capped length, a 17 mm barrel diameter, and a weight of 37 g with the cap, it has the presence of a full-size pen.
