This stylish pen is clip open and top button retractable and has medium conical metal tip. Safety system built into the clip that prevents the tip from extending while the pen is clipped onto a pocket. As soon as the clip is unhooked so that it can be slid onto a pocket, the tip retracts automatically. By incorporating the push button mechanism into the Tipo's clip, Lamy has engineered a clever safety system to ensure that the tip can never extend and cause ink stains when the pen is in your pocket, when the clip is pushed down, it hooks into a slot on the pen body. Lamy L339EME comes with a smooth writing black ink refill. This model is made in dimensions of approx. 5.0 inches length and 5.3 inches retracted length. Not typical Lamy experience

The pen is OK, but not my typical Lamy experience. The ink skips and doesn't flow well. Doesn't seem as refined as their fountain or ball point pens.
