My Gift Stop is proud to carry TW Steel as an authorized retailer. TW Steel watches are well known for their bold designs and ambitious attitude in the world of watchmaking. Their first collection, the Canteen series was first introduced in 2005 by the father-son duo - Jordy and Ton Cobelens in the Netherlands. However, the history actually dates back to 1980 when Ton became an authorized distributor of Raymond Weil and Maurice Lacroix timepieces. Ton also happened to design private label KLM and Martinair watches for the respective airlines. It was then that Ton was determined to come up with his own brand, which landed on the global market in 2005. The brand ambassadors of TW Steel include famous racecar drivers like David Coulthard, Kelly Rowland, Mick Doohan, Dutch DJ Mitchell Niemeyer and Dario Franchitti. The brand is also active in the Renault F1, Lotus F1, Sahara Force India F1, and Daytona DMAX Championship.
Inspired by Dutch design, TW Steel watches use Japanese quartz movements from Citizen Miyota, and Swiss automatic movements from Ronda. The casing of the watches varies from 40mm to 50mm watch. Apart from Canteen editions, TW Steel has released several collections over the years, namely the CEO, CEO Tech, Volante, Grandeur Tech, Maverick, Yamaha Factory Racing and special editions like the Son of Time, Mick Doohan, Kelly Rowland, and Mitchell Niemeyer. The case material varies from stainless steel, rose gold, gold, and black ion plated stainless steel. Their watches feature mostly three handed, and chronograph designs.
